All doubt is NOT of the devil. Often its the first penetration of new truth. Until you doubt the error you've accepted you'll never be able to replace it with the truth that can set you free.

"The Only True Church", "Don't Trust the Bible", "Doubt is of the Devil", There's no authority like 'Priesthood Authority' - Mormon teachings can take on mantra-like qualities that dull the mind and stagnate the soul. Air them out here, take every thought captive and let the truth set you free.

You pulled back the carpet and there was a lot more dirt than you ever imagined. Sort through it, clean it up, throw it away. It's all a part of moving on.

Here is a place to talk about how polygamy has affected you. Polygamy is the ugly wart on the face of the LDS Church that simply won't go away. It is one of the most troubling aspects of Joseph Smith's character - and for good reason. Smith secretly married over 30 women/girls, most done behind his first wife's (Emma) back. At the time he married them, at least 10 were already married to other men. He used manipulation, coercion and his spiritual authority as a 'prophet' to convince women (many of them still in their teens) to engage in a practice they would have never otherwise considered. Feel free to ask questions about polygamy and share how the subject has impacted you and your relationship to the Mormon religion.
